US COACHES
Dear US Head Coach,
Thank you for showing an interest in the AJF Academy in reference to the 18 man squad we enter for the Dallas Cup. We hope your schedule will allow you to come and watch one-or more-of our games with regards to recruitment for your college.
At AJFA, we understand that it is not always possible - due to imposed budgets and time restriction - for you to travel to the four 'home' countries of Great Britain to watch these talented players, so we have decided to 'bring them to you'.
FYI, indicated below are the regions where- over a two year registration period-nearly 3000 players will have entered our try-outs taking place in November 2011.
London,-Birmingham/Bristol/Cardiff(Wales),-Manchester/Liverpool,Leeds-Glasgow (Scotland)/ Newry(N.Ireland),/Newcastle/Sunderland.
We appreciate that you will want to make your talent identification process as streamlined and as efficient as possible. We would like to reassure you that we have spent a lot of time researching the requirements for athletic directors and college heads of department.
At AJFA we have 30 years of expertise, knowledge and experience in the combined fields of soccer and academic-college/university-education both in the US and UK. We also understand that there are many reasons why a player ‘is or is not’ accepted for college under NCAA/NAIA rules.
Our policy here, at AJFA is to always be extremely frank and honest with all young players coming for try-outs, explaining both to the player and their parent/guardian(s) that often, when offered a scholarship, that they may need to find additional funding for their acceptance to a US college.
We also inform them that their UK college or school head of department will need to deliver transcripts of their academic work to the prospective college in the US and/or they may be required to perform an ACT/SAT in addition to submitting their personal resume and soccer profile.
Finally, the logistics behind organizing these try-outs-to find the best 18 players- have been extensive and we therefore, realize how important it is to get the first contact we make with you absolutely perfect.
We sincerely hope that you 'sign-up' and would like to thank you for your time in reading about our organization.
Once you have registered your interest, you will be sent further relevant information and more details, by return email, advising of all the benefits to you of participating in our program.
Please do not hesitate to use the 'contact' page if you need or would like any questions answered-even before you register if necessary. I will then contact you personally to discuss these queries.
