IMPORTANT: IF YOU ARE UNDER 18 YEARS OLD PLEASE MAKE SURE YOU INFORM YOUR PARENT(S) and/or GUARDIAN(S) THAT YOU WISH TO APPLY TO BE PART OF THE DALLAS CUP 2012 SQUAD IN THE U.S.A.

NOTE: The AJ FOOTBALL ACADEMY HAVE INVESTED A GREAT DEAL OF TIME,EFFORT AND EXPENSE IN ORGANISING THESE TRIALS.PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU FEEL YOU CANNOT COMMIT YOURSELF SERIOUSLY.

THERE ARE TWO STAGES TO APPLY FOR YOUR TRIAL.

1/ REGISTRATION IS FREE.

Once you have submitted your registration, you will receive 2 emails. The first is a reminder of your password to login to your account and the second is an explanation of how the trials will work and further details.

During this time we will be reviewing your football profile registration in reference to your trial application.

2/ THE PROCESS IF YOU ARE SELECTED TO TRIAL WITH A.J.F.A.

We will be accepting registrations from 1st January 2010 up to September 2011 for the 2012 Dallas Cup.

It is very important you apply early, as we will only accept a certain amount of players in each region, afterwhich registration/applications will be closed.

AJFA coaches will review all player applications and will inform you by email, if you have been chosen to attend trials.

Please make sure you allow AJ Football Academy emails to enter your email "Inbox" as otherwise it may end up in your spam or junk folder.

You must urgently contact us if you change your original email address or mobile number from the time you sent us your registration, or you will not receive notification in your email box/phone if and when you are approved for a trial.

Whenever you login to your AJFA account, using your password, you will be able to check the status of your invitation as well as your personal football profile.

If you are 'approved' and  invited to trial you will be notified by email.

All trials will be held at either Professional,Semi Professional, or top quality private training grounds.

There is a cost element to the trial.Further information and all the details will be sent to your email box after you register.

A minimum £25.00 is Non-Refundable as organisational, venue hire and planning costs to AJFA have already been incurred. We will only refund the 'full amount' of your trial if you have sustained an injury accompanied by a verified copy of an official 'doctors certificate'. This can be scanned and emailed to us.

You can apply to trial with us if you are born 'on' or 'after' 1st August 1992 or 'before' 1st September 1996 for the 2012 Dallas Cup.

We are inviting players from 'Regions' throughout the whole of the UK including -London, Birmingham, Bristol, Cardiff (Wales), Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Newcastle, Sunderland, Newry (N.Ireland), and Glasgow (Scotland).

However, players can apply from anywhere else in the UK or a country that is a part of the European Community.

We will supply you with an address of the venue where your trial will take place. You and/or your parent/Guardian(s) will be responsible for getting to the venue.

We are looking for 'quality youth players' throughout the UK covering all positions. Players from the Republic of Ireland and European Community countries are also welcome to register.

These include:

  • Pro Academy Scholars or Centre of Excellence Players (released)
  • College Conference or ECFA Football Academy Players.
  • County and District players.
  • Saturday and Sunday league players.

Although we will have a very good idea of your ability level, after reviewing your registration,we will NOT discriminate against any player whom we believe has the potential to do well at trial.

Yes,as long as you fit into the age requirements that have been given.

No, unfortunately we do not accept club sides or whole teams.

No,you do not have to be a British citizen to trial but if you are successful there may be Visa requirements.

No,not at all. All the trial dates will be held at a time that does not conflict with your normal club or school matches.

No. Please do not bring any friends-unless of course they are coming to trial themselves- they will not be allowed entry to the venue as their will be a list of players with security personnel.

PLEASE NOTE: We will not allow friends, or anyone else, just to turn up on the day with their football boots wanting to have a trial. Please do not encourage this, they will only be disappointed and asked to leave the training ground.

The only other people allowed to attend will be your parent(s) and/or Guardian(s) if they wish to come with you.

You should wear any normal football kit/track suit and bring both screw-in and moulded boots. Also make sure you bring ample to drink(preferably water) to the trials and perhaps some nutrition bars.

IMPORTANT: IT IS 'ABSOLUTELY' ESSENTIAL THAT YOU BRING MOULDED OR ASTRO TRAINING FOOTWEAR -INCLUDING YOUR NORMAL BOOTS- TO TRIAL, AS SOME OF THE 11 V 11 MATCHES MAY NEED TO BE PLAYED ON AN ASTRO-TURF SURFACE.

IF THE GAMES ARE ON 3G ASTROTURF, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PLAY IN YOUR TRIAL  IF YOU ONLY HAVE METAL STUDS OR ANY TYPE OF BLADES. PLEASE DO NOT FORGET TO BRING MOULDED RUBBER BOOTS OR FOOTBALL TRAINERS WITH YOU.

Every player will be informed whether they have made the Dallas Cup squad, by the week after the very last trials take place or by the 31st December at the latest.

Successful trial candidates will be informed and given further details of the tour by email.

If you are at school college or work you will need either the morning or afternoon off for the trial(although we would suggest the whole day taking into account your travel time).

There will be 11 v 11 matches, played over a few days/weeks, involving players chosen from their region at Lilleshall National Sports Centre. This venue has been used by many Pro clubs and the England national squad.

These players will be competing for a place in the 18 man squad for the Dallas Cup. All the coaches and scouts watching will be selecting 18 individuals who they feel have all the necessary attributes and qualities that demonstrate their all round ability to perform, as well as other factors and criteria that will be taken into account to make the final decision.

We intend to inform all the players chosen to go by the end of December 2011 so that they can prepare well in advance.

We will be holding the meeting for the final 18 players who have been chosen to go to the Dallas Cup,as well as coaches/guests and parent/guardians in a London Venue. Details will be passed on to you in ample time.

All parent/guardians and or family are most welcome to attend but will have to arrange all their own travel plans –flights, lodgings etc. They will also be able to attend the training sessions/pre friendly matches and obviously the tournament itself in Dallas if they do decide to travel.

Unfortunately as much as we would like to help we will be far too busy-organising the initial trials and the trip for the 18 successful players- to be responsible for families/friends etc who want to come over independently.

However,we will give out an information sheet to all those parents of the successful players who are interested in travelling themselves. There will also be an explanation of the itinerary for the time we are in Dallas. We will hand all these out at the meeting in 2012.

Because of the nature of the tournaments we enter and also the logistics in planning and preparation, we cannot guarantee dates or times when trials will be held. Please keep an eye on the website.

Please submit your question on the 'Contact Page' and we will try to answer it and send back a reply as soon as possible.
